I have lived in Worcester Massachusetts since 1953 and am a self taught artist who has been making art since about 1970 or so. I have displayed my artwork in many New England area shows through the years and I have won several awards. In 1998 I created the Pascarelli Gallery.net internet Art Gallery to freely display the work of any New England area visual artist who desires an internet presence. I create art with the intention of forming visual balance and beauty more so than making a political or social statement. I do not limit myself to one style. Therefore my artwork ranges from realism to abstract depending my inner sense for what I see as beauty. I have worked in mediums including oil, acrylic, and watercolor paints, oil, and chalk pastels, pen & ink, colored pencil, and photography. My recent work has been in the medium of digital photography. I try to find unexpected beauty within the environment that we may overlook on a day to day basis. Dumpsters, old streets and walls, urban decay, all can hold significant artistic merit when using the camera viewfinder to take the art out of context from its surroundings.
