Edward E. Heske Bio
Born
in New York City in 1928, Edward E. Heske has lived a life as vibrant as
his paintings. Growing up in the farm country of upstate New York, Ed’s
first passion
– after baseball – was art. After returning from Japan where he played
clarinet and tenor sax in General MacArthur’s 293rd Army Band, Ed worked
in theater and broadcasting before entering Corporate America.
He spent most of his career serving as Art Director for several New
England companies before starting his own agency in 1980. Ed’s
reputation won him several key accounts and, after his retirement, he
was able to pursue his lifelong dream: to paint.
More than 200 oil paintings and multiple plein air workshops later, Ed
has won countless ribbons for People’s Choice, Best of Show, Awards of
Excellence and Honorable Mention. He has been selected to showcase his
work as “Artist of the Month” at the Fidelity Advertising Agency in
Boston, and has exhibited at art shows and galleries throughout
Massachusetts. This online gallery represents a picturesque vantage of
Ed Heske’s portfolio.
