Sheryll Collins Artist Statement

I am a representational watercolorist living in Clinton. I enjoy painting landscapes of beautiful places in my community and beyond. I love experimenting with shapes both in my subjects and in the shape of the paper to enhance the overall composition of my paintings.

I have come back to painting after many years of raising a family and working. I have taken watercolor classes at the Worcester Art Museum and the Acadia Workshop Center in Southwest Harbor, Maine, with local artist and art teacher, Kat O'Connor. I will soon be studying watercolor privately with her and attending an art workshop in New Mexico taught by her.
